Devan: 14 Months Update

He’s walking! Taking tiny steps around the house, wobbling, waving, smiling along the way, possible to topple over at anytime. He will raises his arms at an angle of 130, making his way around, simply delighted with his new found skill. Truly adorable! He still crawls, still swings his head from side to side, still is my happy-go-lucky alligator.

Now, he owns 4 sets of teeth, displaying each and every one of them when he grins. Honestly, I kind of miss his toothless grins.

I think Devan is bored being at home most of the time, because he seems delighted whenever we get out – waving his hand happily while we were at the doorstep preparing to leave.

While at home, he will turn my kitchen upside down, opening drawers, take whatever’s inside, put them back in again (in a mess), slam the drawers, open them up again, transport whatever he could get hold of and load them into the washing machine. Ok, great, the kitchen has turned into his (another) playground.

He’ll climb up the couch, lay flat on his tummy, peeks at me and gives me a cheeky smile. Or, he’ll hide behind the wall and peeks at me, gives me his most stunning smile and speeds off, squealing delightfully. Gee, he makes me so madly in love with him! Absolutely 100% head over heels for this little fellow!

And, argh… he calls ME AH! AH, when he wants my attention. AH, when he needs me to open a box or a toy for him. Just when will he call me MAMA? Son, I’m waiting!
