Learning on His Own
It was a cool morning and I was resting on the sofa, Devan was taking his morning nap and Dylan… he was doing something quietly, which was quite a rare occasion.
He moved around quietly in the house, getting the things he needed and settled down at his writing table. He was working on something and the look on his face was serious and focused. I took a closer look at what he was busy at and this was what I saw.

I’m amazed, truly. For he took out the set of cardboard I made for him, stating the days and his name in both English and Chinese. He knows the days well, Monday to Sunday and link them up with numbers in a month. He took a piece of paper, a pen and started writing out the characters, words and numbers he saw from the cardboards.
[Another ugly look of my boy.]
It was wonderful to just sit beside him and watch him learn on his own, enjoying himself at the same time. There’s a saying, rare occasions are often so precious. ^ ^
