Devan: He's 11 Months Old
He’s wild and bold, crawling like an alligator at high speed. He’s very stable with his cruising and I did catch him standing for a split second without any support. Oh… he might take his first step soon!
He started to display shyness and reservation when come in contact with unfamiliar faces. Just two days ago my mom came over to help out with Devan as I need to run some errands, decided to bring Dylan with me and I got busy getting ready to head out. Our little fellow started to fuss for no particular reason; it was away before his meal time and was fresh from his nap. Then my mom commented it could be he knew I’m going out without him. Ha, that made sense! And true enough, he whined when I was out of his sight in another room and wanted me to carry him.
I was leaving the house with Dylan and he started crying badly with pitiful eyes locked on me. This was something NEW, because I never had this kind of an experience with Dylan. My first born never whined at the slightest when I was going away.
I guessed this is one of the impacts being 24/7 with my baby since his birth. Being his primary caregiver, I’m basically his everything (for now).
That day he did not nap much, refused to go to bed in the evening and seems to be waiting for me to return home. He was delighted to see me again as I enter the house, all smiley and wanted to be carried. My oh my, my baby’s getting sticky to me. A whole lot of new experience to me!
When I sang him the ‘If You’re Happy and You Know it’ song, he’ll happily clap his hands and move to the beat. When he needs a break or finished his bottle of milk, he’ll reach for the bottle cap and cap it back on to the bottle before wondering off.
Oh boy, he’s such a cutie pie!
