Work For Food

We had sushi for dinner last Sunday and it was my second round of sushi making. Practice makes prefect, although mine was still far from being prefect!

You guys should have seen how eager Dylan wanted to help; he kept pestering me to let him help in beating the eggs, washing the veggie and making the sushi rolls. But he did best in finishing up his portion of sushi real quick! Not to mention the mess he had with his hands and face, I practically picked up rice grains on his face and threw them into my mouth. Hey, no wastage of food ya!
………….

Like some said: When you want it, you got to work for it! And Dylan worked for his fair share for his dinner. Ha!

[Dylan doing his part in washing the asparagus.]

Anyway, its fun to have kids in the kitchen with us when we are preparing a meal, provided ground rules are set and the little ones are obligated to follow through. ^ ^
