Exercise… Something I’m Dreadful Of
I had forgotten when the last time I jogged was or having my heart to pump at a faster rate; it’s been too long ago for me to remember.
Oh well, whatever it is its VERY VERY LONG time since I wake up my muscles and did a good workout! Ha! Friends who know me should be aware I never like exercising, particularly jogging. Although I did pick up Netball in my secondary school days and badminton during my tertiary education, other than these two… I’m so not into sports and exercising.
Last Saturday however, I got to put on my running shoes again (they have been resting in my shoe cabinet for donkey months). Not because I finally decided to exercise, but due to the family walkathon event Dylan’s kiddy organized.
It was a sunny Saturday morning and we spent a good 40 minutes walking and guess what, my running shoe gave way!
I guess I better keep to my yoga workouts instead. It’s really not wise to spent hundred over dollars on a new pair of running shoe and has it as a white elephant. *wink*
………….
We all know that, I mean it’s not like we never heard of this before: Exercise is an essential part of the health equation.
Thirty minutes of physical activity is recommended to all adults, every day of the week. Meeting the 30-minute threshold will help a person maintain a healthy weight and reap health benefits like lowering the risk of heart disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, hypertension etc. And exercise does keep a person more alert and fresh.
Well, sound almost impossible to exercise everyday right? We mommies don’t even have enough sleep, let alone having to exercise! I’m too busy, too tired, I don’t have the time… is the voice inside your head saying these to you? Mine does! Ha ha.

Hi! Thanks for following me. I try to exercise - I actually made my husband run with me this weekend because I thought it would be added motivation! Fat chance - ha!
Great blog!
Sarah
Me too have never been a big fan of exercising LOL =p
But I agree once I am free from office work, housework and kids the only thing I want to do is sleep.
These days if anyone asks me if I exercise, my standard response is "Yes, I run and I do weight-lifting". It is the truth because I run after my kids and I carry the kids or groceries... muwahahahah.
Heather
so sweet of you! I'll hop over once I'm done with my chores, been out the whole day and just put my baby to bed minutes ago. hee he's with me running around the whole day, he's seriously lack of sleep =p
Sarah
hey, I'm the opposite of you! it's impossible to get me to run, instead running after kids and buses! Ha!
Vivian
I'm so with you gal! well said on the running and weight-lifting! hahaha
I can absolutely relate! I still dabble in fitness, but you can't really dabble! (I used to teach 5 fitness classes a week--I am now down to 1). But my good friend is trying to convince me to do a run with her & I may just try. I am so happy to have found your blog--I really enjoy reading your posts!
